Bordeaux

Bordeaux is that once in a lifetime piece! "Immense" is one of the words I would apply to this seriously detailed orientated piece. It all started from the curved pieces surrounding the edge, from that the whole theme was born. Every single curve on each individual piece was done by hand many, many times. I'm so happy with how it turned out after having no sketch or plan to go off....just a couple of ideas and a lot of patience. 

MATERIALS : I work with a range of reclaimed timbers, much like a painter uses a palette, each piece selected for its tone, texture, and character. Sourced from around Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region, the materials carry the marks of a life well lived, now given a second life in a new form.

CARE: Lightly dust with a soft brush if required.  As with most artworks avoid direct sunlight ,moisture & or wet areas. SHIPPING : All work is shipped from Christchurch NZ via a signed courier service as soon as possible following payment. Pick Up via appointment.
